Thanks so much for signing up your 5" and 6" graders for Tackle Football.

We have 30 kids signed up so we will have 1 team with a lot of depth. That means quality practices so growth can really occur, but will also mean that not every child will be able to be playing all the time. Please be patient with the development and the process.

Practice schedule will be the following:

• From August 7- September 6 - Monday/Wednesday will take place 6:00-7:30 at Karl E.
  Cole complex - Field 2

• Once games begin the Week of September 6 - Practice will change to:

Sunday evening practices from 5:00-6:30 pm and Monday non-equipment practice from 6:00-7:30 (with a game on either Tuesday or Wednesday).

The practice schedule will be as follows:

August 7th - shirt, shorts, cleats - Equipment checkout (during practice)

August 9th - shirt, shorts, cleats August 14th - Helmet, shorts, cleats

August 16th - Helmet, shoulder pads, shorts, cleats August 21st and so on - Full pad

We play in the Allen County Football league. Teams will be from Prairie View, Louisburg, Fort Scott, Mound City, Garnett, Uniontown. Games will be either on Tuesday or Wednesday nights at 6:30 and will start after Labor Day. The game schedule is set by the league. It typically does not come out until early September. I will share just as soon as it is created.

What do the parents need to provide:

• Mouthpiece

• Water bottle to practice and games.
  Please consider black padded pants (we have some but cannot guarantee we will have your child's size)

Rec will provide:

• Helmet (returned at end of season)

• Shoulderpads (returned at end of season)
  Game jersey (kept by athlete at end of season)

• Practice jersey (returned at end of season)
