Osawatomie Recreation is excited to an intro to track program.  Registration includes three practice sessions, a practice meet, and a formal meet with Paola Rec Youth Track team.

Youth Track Program Registration Window: Friday March 1 Monday April 1 Practice Day: Wednesdays through April (3,10,17, Oz only practice meet April 24) 6-7pm Track Meet: Sunday, April 28th at 1pm @ Paola High School. Check-in starts at 12pm Price: $20 (Includes 3 practices, practice meet, and entry to Paola Rec Track meet) Age Groups: 4-Years-Old - Kindergarten, 1st-2nd Grade, 3rd-4th Grade, 5th-6th Grade Details: The Oz Rec youth track program is designed to introduce the sport and track events Boys and girls ages 4th to 6th grade. Participants will get the opportunity to learn and develop track specific skills for specific events Participants will be able to compete in three events of their choosing. Ribbons will be given for the top three participants in each event. Below is a list of events the participants can choose to compete in. Track Events by Age Participants compete in 3 total events at the track meet Kindergarten & Under (Must be 4 by April 1, 2024): 50M, 100M, 200M, Standing Long Jump, Softball Throw 1st-2nd Grade: 50M, 100M, 200M, 400M, Long Jump, Softball Throw 3rd-4th Grade: 100M, 200M, 400M, 800M, Long Jump, Shot Put (6 lb.), Turbo Javelin 5th-6th Grade: 100M, 200M, 400M, 800M, 1600M, Long Jump, Shot Put (6 lb.), Turbo Javelin
